DIY Outdoor Lighting

I’ve been pinning ideas from Pinterest for outdoor lighting since before we even bought our new house. I knew that I was going to incorporate these ideas in some way or another and was so excited to see that our home had the perfect area!

31 Days to a Clutter Free Life by Ruth Soukup ~ CHALLENGE Post 1

EM Photography

Hello! Welcome to my journey through the best organizing book I’ve found yet. 31 Days to a Clutter Free Life is exactly what I need as we continue to unpack and organize our life. Each day has an area of the home to organize or task to be completed to help regain control of the clutter and use the space more effectively. I found that as I’m working on one task, I tend to be working on another one without even realizing it! Each time I’m complete a task I’m going to share my before and after photos and what I did to get more organized.

July Recap and August Goals

Here we are again, at the beginning of a new month 🙂 Mike and I celebrated 6 years of marriage this past weekend and spent the day in Door County. It was a wonderful trip. I’ve been extremely busy with photo shoots which is always good news and I continue to add new clients. I also participated in my first craft show! It was a great learning. Let’s see how well I did on my July goals with how busy I’ve been.

Decorating with Watercolors

We’re finally settled into our new house but I still can’t believe we’re really here. I catch myself more than once during the day stopping and looking around while the reality sinks in. We’re almost completely unpacked and I can’t tell you how amazing it feels.

June Review and July Goals

House

Holy WOW was June a busy month. I had my first ever photo shoot in our home and it was a newborn, which was another first. Then another newborn shoot a few days later and another photo shoot the week after. I was the featured artist at the studio where my photography is for sale, and then we hosted the annual bowling party. That all happened within two weeks time! How much do you think I actually accomplished this month?

May Review and June Goals

We’ve been in our house for over a month now and fall in love with it more and more every day. We’ve been unpacking, working in the yard, and getting our lives organized. I had my first photo shoot of the year this past month which is always exciting. We went camping over Memorial Day and the weather was amazing. All-in-all it was a great month!

April Review and May Goals

I’m a few days late on this, but better late than never 🙂 These past few weeks have been a whirlwind and we are enjoying every second of it! We’re slowly getting unpacked and have settled in to a routine so that’s been nice.

The flowers are starting to come up in the beds and it’s making the front of the house look much happier. It’s been exciting watching everything bloom. I can’t wait to get my hands in the dirt and move things around.

House Adventures ~ Land of Unknown Flowers

Each day, our yard is surprising us with more and more flowers and shrubs budding and blooming. I don’t have a clue what half of them are, but I’m sure enjoying watching them grow.

House Adventures ~ Our First Few Days

I dreamed and thought about how these past few days were going to go for over a year. Let me tell you that how things went in my dreams is NOT how they went…shocker right?? Moving is never fun…which I’m pretty sure you already know. I honestly thought I was pretty prepared for it this time.

April Goals

I’ve wanted to do a monthly check-in for, well, since I started this blog. In these posts would be a recap of the prior month’s goals, what I accomplished, unexpected wins or challenges and my goals for the next month. I see so many other bloggers out there that do this and it’s a fantastic way to be held accountable.

We’ve had so many things happen in the last two months that I could hardly keep my head on straight . . . from going to Panama, starting to search for a new house, changes at work, and just life in general.
