September Calmbox Review

September Calmbox

Another month, another perfectly put together Calmbox. I honestly think they just keep getting better and better! September’s theme was about finding balance and preparing for the months ahead. Ready to see what wonderful things the Calmbox team included this month??

When I opened the box the smell of incense wafted through the air. The first item up is two different books of incense matches. I can’t tell you the last time I lit incense. I generally enjoy the smell of incense, but sometimes it can be a little overpowering. I love the idea of this product being that it is essentially a mini incense stick. You light it just like a match, blow it out and then place it in a tray. I will be gifting the patchouli to my mom as it’s her favorite scent and will be trying out the sandalwood within the next few days.

The next item is this compact book called “The Little Book of Mindfulness” by Dr. Patrizia Collard. With a catch phrase of “10 minutes a day to less stress, more peace” I quickly read the first few pages of the book while at work. I decided right then and there that this little book was going to be a great daily activity for me. Call it a challenge even. Each day I’m going to complete the next activity in the book. I look forward to updating you on how I feel after I finish!

Next up is Yogi Honey Lavender Stress Relief Tea. I actually have this tea in my cupboard and it’s my go-to flavor after a long day at work.

These two inspirational cards are the perfect size to frame and hang around your home or office as  great reminders. I have the two cards from last month hanging up at work, so these two are going to find homes on one of my gallery walls.

I really enjoyed the Pure Organic Fruit Strip they included in this box. I ate it as soon as I got back to work and a co-worker is already looking to find it locally to purchase for her son! I love that it’s organic and some people might be pleased that it’s non-GMO and vegan as well.

The fuzzy plush bear will be gifted. I didn’t really find it applicable as I don’t have children and don’t normally feel compelled to snuggle a stuffed animal, but it’s still a cute idea and I know it’s going to go to a wonderful home.

The Sunny Outlook Body Mist smells heavenly. It’s light and refreshing. I’ll be placing this in a little basket that I have in our guest bathroom for when we have company.

And last, but not least, Lemongrass Bath Salts. I have to admit, I’m not really a bath person. I’m the kind of person that takes a bath and then has to take a full shower afterwards. Weird? Maybe. Like the spray above, these bath salts are going to go in my guest bathroom basket. Since we have a jetted tub, I’m sure our guests will love them.

All-in-all this was a great selection. I loved everything in it even though I may not personally use everything. I’ve found that these boxes have been serving a dual purpose. There are quite a few things I keep for myself and there have been a few that I’ve either given away or saved for guests in our home. I’m already looking forward to next month 🙂
